A Touch of Red

The client was after soft neutral colours to suit a newly renovated bedroom, and wanted the lady of the house on canvas with her three favourite friends.

She had seen Simply Adorable and asked me to come up with something especially for her, elegant as well as beautiful.

So she sits at her dressing table with her back to us, caught in the mirror, a glass of red in one hand and her lipstick in the other. The three dogs have the best of it, the littlest tucked in on her lap and the other two waiting on the floor. Everything else is soft grey and pale timber, so the only real colour in the room is the wine, the lipstick and the roses. Hence the title.
